ABOUT US
Learning Hour is an extra lesson platform focussing on Maths, English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Greek and Study skills. Learning Hour has taken learning into the digital world offering freedom, independence and accountability – but in a safe and stress-free environment – their homes.
This platform provides online tutorials explaining basic education concepts as well as downloadable worksheets and booklets.
Eleni Pasti retired from teaching in 2012, after …. years of teaching at school. Her daughter, Irene Cavallineas, later joined her in 2018.
Eleni has completed her Higher Diploma in Education in 1987 and has specialised in working with children with ADHD. Irene Cavallineas completed her MSc in industrial Psychology in 2017 and then subsequently her PGCE in intermediate Phase in 2019.
Both have a passion for teaching and developing relationships with their students as they believe this will give way for productive growth and learning. Lessons range from one student to a maximum of three students at a time.

PRIVATE LESSONS
One-on-one lessons specialising in English, Maths, Greek, Afrikaans, Zulu and all study subjects. These lessons are offered from Grade R to Grade 12 in English, Greek and Afrikaans and from Grade R to Grade 8 in Maths and Zulu. Please enquire for pricing. Private lessons are available in person and online via the platform Zoom.
ONLINE TUTORIALS
Access to multiple YouTube videos explaining basic concepts in English, Afrikaans, Maths, Greek and Zulu.
WORKSHEETS & BOOKLETS
Downloadable worksheets and booklets to maintain your child’s progress during the holidays or to be used as additional reinforcement during school periods. Each worksheet/booklet includes memorandums with correct answers to respective questions. This allows parents to track their children’s progress.
